The Prince is a restored Victorian freehouse in the heart of Stoke Newington, offering a wide selection of locally-sourced craft beers and real ales via 20 individual draught lines. We have taken great care in selecting all our wines and spirits, with a large percentage of our range sourced from London-based independents.
Our kitchen team focus on delivering the best quality produce available, cooked with skill and passion - and a keen attention to detail.

OUR JOURNEY
We took over The Prince in early 2014 as the first site for our newly formed Golden Age Public Houses, and immediately started work on a three-month build project that resulted in a complete overhaul and upgrade of the building and layout.
Once a classic saloon bar, The Prince had been the victim of having all it's original fixtures and fittings ripped out and sold a number of years ago. When we first set eyes on it, despite having lost its way a bit, we saw huge potential in The Prince as a wonderful corner pub we could bring back to life.
Our first objective was to successfully renegotiate a free-of-tie lease to allow us full control of our beer selection, then from there we put together a great team of collaborators within our contacts from designers (44th Hill) and builders (Jay Chapman) through to vintage hi-fi experts (Audio Gold) and bespoke furniture makers (H&BWR) and got started on the ambitious project.
We re-opened the pub in early June 2014 after an extensive renovation that resulted in us having to completely restructure the core of the building to allow us to "open it up" and see The Prince like it had never been seen before.
We've championed the very best selection of independent UK brewed beers from day one, and approached our food offering with the same spirit, focussing on quality produce from small producers, with everything being made fresh on-site. We take great pride in what we do and whilst it's been a learning-curve at times, we couldn't be happier to serve our local Stoke Newington community and beyond.
